Yerkes Observatory, of the U. of Chicago.
I have photos of an observatory in California, about a century old, that was done in the Spanish Mission syle.
Awesome! And who and where is Yerkes (no Googling allowed)?
Can you post your pix of Californian Observatory?

I posted photos of Lick Observatory: http://saint-louis.blogspot.com/2006/04/photos-of-lick-observatory-california.html
I don't know where Yerkes is or who its namesake was. I guess that it is in either Illinois or Wisconsin.

Yerkes is in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, and is operated by the University of Chicago.
